Speed
Driving at an excess speed is one of the major causes of road crashes and fatalities. The regulations related to speed in MVDR are as follows:
- The driver shall increase the speed of the vehicle only when he has control over the vehicle, taking into account the condition of the vehicle, load in the vehicle, road condition, other traffic, visibility and weather.
- Vehicle to be driven in slow during fog, rain, snowfall, storm or desert winds.
- A motor vehicle shall not be driven more or less than the speed limits specified on the road signs.
- No driver shall, without good and sufficient reason, drive a vehicle at a speed which causes obstruction to the normal flow of traffic.
- No driver shall drive a vehicle at a speed exceeding 25 km per hour or at a perceived lesser speed while passing through a construction site, a school, or a hospital.
