Duties of Drivers and Riders – Part II

• Do not consume alcohol, drugs or smoke while driving. Passengers should also avoid drinking and smoking on the go.
• Do not watch videos etc. while driving. Use navigation equipment in a way that does not distract attention.
• Ensure fastening of seat belts by the driver and other occupants of the vehicle.
• Children below 12 years of age should be secured with seatbelt of by a child restraint seat.
• The driver, pillion on a motorcycle and the rider of a sidecar must wear standard helmet.
• Never hold / push other vehicles while riding or driving a motor cycle or tricycle.
• Hold the handle with both hands of a two wheeler and free it only for giving signals.
• Take your feet off the pedals or foot rests depending on road conditions or for safety only.
