Traffic Signals

Traffic Lights

To control and regulate movement of traffic on junctions, the traffic control signals are used which commonly known as Traffic Lights.

There are three colours of traffic lights we usually see at the junctions which are Red, Amber and Green. Each light depicts a different meaning which is required to be followed by all the road users. These are usually placed at intersections to control the flow of traffic coming from all directions.

It is required that the vehicle should move according to the signals indicated by traffic lights. One must focus on the traffic light placed in front in the direction you are moving.

Obeyance of traffic signals helps in managing and regulating the traffic, avoid traffic congestion and prevent road crashes. The junctions where traffic signals are installed are generally called as Traffic Controlled Junctions. Not obeying traffic signals is considered as a traffic violation.
