Introduction to Traffic Signals

Like road signs and road markings there are several other traffic control devices which are used to manage and regulate traffic. One such example is Traffic Signals.

Traffic Signals may be present on urban roads, rural roads and highways etc. These are commonly referred to as traffic lights. In addition to traffic lights there are other mechanism by which it can be signalled to other drivers. These are hand signals which can be provided by drivers or traffic police personnel.

There are various signals which are conveyed by the lights are installed in a motor vehicles.
