Driving Safety

Safe Driving – Part I

It is essential for every driver to check a few things before starting any journey. Apart from seeing the vehicle which includes tyres, indicators and lights, it also recommended to follow DSSSM rule, which is defined below:

  1. Doors: Ensure that all doors are properly closed and locked.
  2. Seat: Adjust the seat according to the driver. Correctly adjusting the seat allows the driver to use the controls properly. This is necessary because drivers of different heights drive vehicles.
  3. Steering: The angle of steering should be adjusted according to the convenience of the driver. The steering position should be as per the 10.10 or 9.15 clock hands. In any other position there is a risk of the hands coming in the way of the airbag (if airbags are installed in the vehicle).
