Traffic Signals for Pedestrians

Pedestrian Red Light

If you see a red coloured human figure in traffic light in front of a zebra crossing, do not proceed in that direction. Wait on a safe location to turn the light green. Do not try to cross the road from the parked vehicles. If the traffic has come to a halt then move only in the direction where it is indicated by the pedestrian traffic light.

Pedestrian Green Light

If there is a green human figure is seen front of a zebra crossing in a traffic signal then it depicts that the pedestrian shall cross the road using the pedestrian crossing or the zebra crossing. These lights are installed in conjugation with the traffic signals. When the movement of a traffic is stopped in a particular direction, the road which is free is then opened for crossing by the pedestrians.
