Road Markings
Block Marking
Road markings which can be marked in a middle of the road, away from a junction or crossing, is called as block marking.
The two types of block markings include Zebra Crossing and marking done on speed breakers.
The zebra crossing signifies way from where pedestrians can cross the road.
Triangular and checkered marking for speed breakers which is painted in blocks on carriageway are classified under Block Marking.
The quality for block marking with adequate visibility is of utmost importance. For example, improper marking or no marking on a speed breaker instead of safeguarding the road user may become a cause of accident.
