Young Adult and Teen Drivers

As per provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and the motor vehicles available in the market in present scenario, children below 18 years cannot obtain a valid driving license according to class of vehicle. But it is observed that many children below 18 years of age drive two wheeler and four wheeler and either become victim of a crash or cause road crash with one of the probable causes is distraction.

According to a study by NHTSA, a higher percentage of drivers ages 15–20 were distracted than drivers aged 21 and older. A 2019 survey of U.S. high school students found that texting or emailing while driving was more common among older students than younger students.
