Introduction of Road Safety

Road crashes and resulting injuries have emerged as a global health issue. Spreading road network and increasing vehicle population have caused in increased in number of crashes. Better road network and good transportation services are essential for development and growth of the economy but on the hand, they are also posing serious threat in form of road crashes and environmental pollution. Other disadvantages also include parking problem, traffic congestion, delayed travel time etc. The motorized transport endangers safety of vulnerable road users such as pedestrians, cyclists and Non-Motorized Transport (NMT) mediums.
