According to the MVDR, the driver of a motor vehicle should have knowledge of the following rules and regulations:

• Road signs, markings and traffic control signals
• The following sections of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988
  • Section 19: Provisions for cancellation of driving license
  • Section 112: Speed limit
  • Section 113:Limitation of weight and limits of use
  • Section 121: Signals and instruments of signals;
  • Section 122:Leaving vehicle in dangerous condition
  • Section 125: Obstruction to driver
  • Section 132:Duty of a driver to stop
  • Section 133: Duty of the owner of the vehicle to give information
