Road Safety Club – An Introduction

To promote road safety among children in schools through education, awareness and other activities, the Government has issued guidelines for formation of Road Safety Club in each school.

The Road Safety Club comprises of students as Members, Teachers, Parents and one of the members from auto / bus union. The head of the institution acts as Convener of the Club.

It is mandatory to form the club in each school such that various road safety activities could be conducted in schools. It is essential to impart road safety education to children from an early age. Before a person starts learning to drive he must know about rules of the road. Conducting road safety education and awareness activities through Road Safety Club is an effective method to impart road safety education among students.
