Vulnerable Road Users

Among all categories of road users some are susceptible to road crashes and suffer grievous injuries are termed as Vulnerable Road Users (VRUs). They are also termed as vulnerable because they do not have any sort of safety while they are using the road. Examples of Vulnerable Road Users include the following:

• Pedestrians
• Bicyclists
• Two Wheelers
• Children and Women with Children
• Elderly People
• Specially Abled Persons
